The best way that we have discovered in regard to, how to get contact glue off of plastic laminate, is by using a flammable grade of lacquer thinner, moderately applied to a white rag. It never fails when custom cabinet makers fabricate kitchens and baths, out of Formica, somehow there is always a spot that has some glue on it somewhere. How to Remove Formica From Cabinets or Counters

In this section I will explain how to remove (or, “strip”) Formica (or “plastic laminate”) from an existing cabinet or counter top. If you are planning to save the piece of laminate that you are trying to take off of the cabinet or counter, please remain patient throughout the process. What Should I Clean My Mica Cabinets With?

Having been in the cabinetry industry for some time, a common question that many customers ask is, “what should I clean my mica (or, “Forimcia”) cabinets with?” My answer is usually pretty standard but in some cases my differ. Here’s why, there are several different finishes that come on the plastic laminate.
