How To Fabricate A Formica Countertop

This image was taken from a video on our site demonstrating how to fabricate a plastic laminate Formica countertop. This demonstrates dowel rods that are placed under the laminate once the contact glue is rolled or brushed on. The purpose of the rods is to keep the two surfaces from sticking together. When you fabricate a laminate countertop, you should always have the Formica in perfect position before sticking it. Once it is pressed to the board, you will not be able to move it at all.
